Pinpoint Journeys and Suspects

Published 19 July 2026 · 7 views

A journey groups related reactions together, and Pinpoint highlights the suspect ingredients that show up most often before them.

Pinpoint is the tool that tracks what you eat and how you feel to help spot a likely trigger. A journey is how you keep one investigation together.

What a journey is

A journey groups related reactions under a single goal, like "Dairy elimination". You give it a name and, if you already have a hunch, a suspect ingredient to start from. Then you log reactions into it as they happen.

How suspects surface

A suspect is an ingredient that keeps appearing before your reactions. As you log more, Pinpoint scores each one and shows where things stand:

  • Active means there is not enough logged yet.
  • Narrowing means a pattern is starting to form.
  • Likely culprit means one ingredient stands out clearly.

A suspect is a lead, not an answer. A couple more reactions often confirm or clear it.

Close the loop

  1. Open the journey.
  2. Select Resolve once you have worked it out.
  3. Name the culprit, and add it to your Avoidances if you want every future scan to catch it.

Suspects point to patterns, not proof. Pinpoint never diagnoses. Talk to a professional before you cut out anything major.
