Data Privacy and Exports

You can download a copy of everything Chomply holds on your account, any time, as a single archive.
Request your data export
- Open Settings and find the Data and privacy card.
- Confirm your password under Download your data.
- Select Request my data export.
Building the archive takes a little time. When it is ready, Chomply emails you a secure, short-lived link to download it. The link expires, so grab your file soon after it lands.
What is included
Your export covers the data tied to your account, such as:
- Your profile, like name, email, and timezone.
- Your Avoidances, the ingredients you ask Chomply to watch for.
- Your scans, verdicts, pantry, grocery lists, and saved recipes.
- Your health tools, like Pinpoint journeys, check-ins, and food tracker logs.
- Your Sage chats (Sage is the in-app support assistant), notifications, and settings.
For your safety, secrets are never included. Passkeys and access tokens appear as names and dates only, never the underlying keys.
Your privacy
Your wellness data stays private to your family and is never sold. An export is just a copy for you to keep, and requesting one changes nothing about your account.
Anyone with the download link can open the file. Save it somewhere private and delete it once you no longer need it.
